New Shorts!

I was so very excited last year when Banana Republic opened on Regent Street and flew in and oohed and aahed at all the pretty things there. And then I looked at the price tag and saw the prices. They were charging £80 for something which was $80 online and this was when the exchange rate was more in our favour! So I slunk out, and thought of all the beautiful pieces for the office which were right up my street and decided to wait for the sales. Well the sales haven't yet come but their prices have got considerably better and as I had the day of yesterday I just happened to be walking past when I found these:

I have been looking for shorts forever! Nice ones which aren't too short but also not too long. Short length is one of those things which can really change how your legs look. And won't they just be perfect for beach walks in Sicily and for summer days. I'm not sure if you can see in the pictures but they're blue and white pinstriped. And now they're mine!

It's just a shame my legs aren't as slim and are currently so white they're reflective, oh to be an English girl...

I've recently developed a love affair with the sale rack at BR. Especially the one in Portland, when we're visiting His Parents (no sales tax in Oregon.) I'm glad they're getting their prices in order for you!

Oh, I love Banana too! But yes, I ususally try to wait for the sales - they're so good. But occasionally, you can score good things there for not too much, so congrats on your new shorts!!!

On the exchange rate - that is why it is such a bummer to shop UK sites!!! I'll see something I like, look at the price, and think "Wow - that's really reasonable!" But then I'll remember that it's in POUNDS, so it actually costs more than I thought!

Oh, and yes, Riley IS a miniature schnauzer! I actually have 2 - Riley and Murphy (who looks a lot like Riley, but not quite as chubby). They're joined by JJ the chihauhua, and Rascal the black lab/shephard mix.

If only they did a sale rack here, it was so popular when it first opened that they didn't need to do one but I think I have found one now!

Rachel - Thanks for the confirmation, I love Schnauzers unfortunately my husband loves beagles, so if we ever get a dog it'll be a beagle, although I'm currently trying to convince him to go puggle, so cute!

May 17th-24th so we'll be missing you, but that would have been so much fun! Let me know if you chance by London town any time :)
